In the 1700's the land was an original grant to the then governor Wentworth. A portion of the house and barn was built in the 1760s and completed in the 1810 era. In 1938 the Albee family purchased property and turned the house into an Inn and the barn into an Antique store. This Inn and Antique Barn eventually became part of the "Allen A Resort",a world renowned( in its time) summer vacation resort. The new owners, the Gunn family, have restored the orignial farmhouse to 21st century standards. The 1810 House is now a smoke free, 3 bedroom bed and breakfast. . . .
