We are very concerned about the enviorment, and preserving and sustaining where we are able. We compost all kitchen scraps and yard refuge for our garden nourishment, instead of harmful chemical agents. ( with a much healthier result for the Earth and her inhabitants) Our gardens are irrigated by drip irrigation to maximize the smallest amount of water usage to prevent waste of this valuable natural resource. We have also been collecting rain water from our roof, into rain barrels. This collected water, is also used to irrigate our gardens. This season, we will be adding a clothes line . . .

In 1906, Haddie and Christopher Pierce built their American Foursquare clapboard home, complete with widow's walk, on a busy street corner in the village of Wickford. The town had been enjoying a newfound reputation as a summer resort thanks to the Seaview Railroad and steamships that sailed into Wickford Harbor.
