I once read this quote by Amelia Earhart, “Adventure is worthwhile in itself.” How inspiring. What great justification when in doubt whether to leave your house or tired of the humdrum life. So I set out in search of adventure and the miraculous across the globe. I slept on our Mother Earth under a canopy of stars, or when the area provided a hostel, I would stay there. Both were great in their own way, as anyone can attest. But there was something I learned about myself on these travels. No matter how great the adventure, at some point I always longed for home.
