The Alvord Inn is a shady oasis in the little town of Fields, Oregon, which sits at the juncture of the spectacular 10,000 foot Steens Mountain, the vast expanse of white-washed alkali flats of the Alvord Desert, and the rugged majesty of the Pueblo and Trout Creek Mountains. Your innkeepers are Chris and John Hodges, fourth generation descendants of the pioneer families of Harney County, including W. W. "Broady" Johnson who came to Harney County in 1876.
