The common areas are large and welcoming, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are modern and classic all rolled into one with splashes of playful colors and whimsical design. The ammenities are top of the line. The beds are extremely comfortable. Just fabulous! Our hosts, Pat and Wayne were warm and accomodating. Wayne is like a resident historian, we learned quit a bit about the Glastonbury area and the Inn itself. I was suprised to learn that Pat is an artist/interior designer and that most of what you see she created. I highly recommend you make The Connecticut River Valley Inn a point of interest when you visit new England.

Gorgeous old home restored with the greatest attention to detail. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable, quiet and private. Who knew a remote control could start up the gas fireplace and heat the room! California king bed, body spray showers, linens, towels - all chosen for ultimate comfort. The rooms lack no modern convenience. Pat's artistic touches are everywhere - making each room a very unique setting. Pat and Wayne are warm, welcoming and very friendly Innkeepers/homeowners. They make every effort to provide for every need and answer every question. Their pride in their home is well deserved. Their attention to detail is remarkable. Pat's breakfast was delicious and hearty - she has many talents! My husband and I extended our trip by a day so we could stay at this Inn a second night! It is perfect!

My husband and I stayed here in September 22 as a gift from friends. The hosts are remarkably cordial, informative, welcoming and personable creating a very relaxing comfortable atmosphere. A complete breakfast was provided comparable to any restaurant with very hospitable service. The room was eloquently appointed in great detail, very quiet and roomy with super comfortable California king size bed with good size TV. Perfectly located on beautifully landscaped property with sidewalk providing a short walk to center of town stores. Also walking trails on spacious property leading to the river banks. Every aspect of this establishment was greatly enjoyed.

We traveled to the inn for our friend's wedding. They had made the perfect choice for a romantic setting. The inn's old-fashioned charm along with all the modern conveniences of a luxury hotel, make it the perfect destination. I loved the shower with the body sprays and rain-type shower heads. The bath towels were thick and fluffy and the bed was better than any room I have stayed in, hotel or resort. The rooms are decorated tastefully and with special loving care. You can tell Pat influenced most of the decor decisions! She is an extremely talented lady. The breakfast was very tasty and filling. The grounds were perfect for our friend's wedding. They couldn't have picked a better place to have that once-in-a-lifetime wedding. Pat and Wayne make you feel like you are part of the family while you are there. The wedding went perfectly, with everything from the ceremony, to the dinner, and right down to the coffee and cake. The location of the inn is close to downtown Hartford but far enough away to make you fee

Named due to its proximity & accessability to The Connecticut River, the warm & welcoming environment of this lovingly & artistically restored & updated 5 bedroom inn is a unique and inviting rest stop for any traveler or ideal location for your next small event or business meeting. The beautiful & pastoral town of Glastonbury dates back to the 1600's and is almost the geographic center of Connecticut making it a fitting location for all Connecticut has to offer. Just 20 miles from Bradley Int'l Airport, limo, bus and rail nearby, arrival to and rom NYC and Boston are just 2 hours away. Our location at the crossroads of Routes 84, 91 and 2 makes us an easy access by car. But once you are on our property you would never guess such easy access is so close by. On 2 acres in the center of Glastonbury we are bordered on the west by open space leading to The Connecticut River, ideal for walking, jogging, biking, cross country skiing, and soon, boating/kayaking. Just steps from the front door are over 15 restaurants and eateries.
