Glenoka farmhouse Bed & Breakfast in the South Okanagan was built in 1905/1906 beside the old main road connecting Summerland to other fruit growing communities in the valley, north to Vernon and south to Osoyoos. Barges and paddle wheelers loaded their passengers and apples from dockside packinghouses just five minutes walk away, on Okanagan Lake, to be ferried tp Penticton or Kelowna, then on to National markets by rail.
