I love Estes Park. When you envision Colorado, Estes Park is what you'd imagine. We walked around the lake in the summer. Elk and nature can be seen everywhere.
If you need accommodations during your visit, I'd highly recommend the Romantic River Song bed and breakfast. The grounds, main house and cabins are wonderful. The rooms are private, quiet (no tvs) and cozy. The breakfast was very delicious. The staff are great hosts. Ask for a tour. There is at least one hiking trail right by the bed and breakfast. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.
