The Stockbridge Ramsdell House on Hudson, a graceful Queen Anne Victorian, is located in the beautiful historic district of Newburgh, New York. It was built in 1870 as the family home of Homer Stockbridge Ramsdell, who was president of the Erie Railroad and instrumental in bringing the railroad to Newburgh. It is situated on a hill above the Hudson River with panoramic river views.
We are approximately 55 miles from Manhattan and accessible by public transportation via MetroNorth to Beacon. From the Beacon train station you can take a ferry or taxi to Newburgh.

Denniston House is an elegant Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the historic district of Newburgh, New York — the gateway to the Hudson Valley.
The Federal-style house was built about 1820 for Mr. Goldsmith Denniston, a local attorney who later moved to Albany to serve in the New York State legislature. Modified in the 1880s with the addition of a bay window and marble fireplaces, the house was updated in 2001-04 by its present owners, caterer Nancy Billman and landscape painter Peter Billman.

333 Carpenter Avenue was designed in 1860 by Andrew Jackson Downing, whom influenced the architects of Central Park. Your hosts, Karen and Jose, purchased the home in 2003. By then, the mansion had seen better days. Like Newburgh itself, this once opulent home was in bad disrepair. Previous owners had ripped into walls and ceilings looking for stash that was rumoured to be hidden there.
Pickerel Rush opened it's doors to visitors in 2007. The house is still a work in progress.
