Although The Limes has been much altered over the years its medieval origins as a Kentish Hall House remain and are well preserved. Delving into its history has only just begun by its newest residents but it is well known to have been a butchers and many locals still recall visiting the doctor's surgery here well into the 1970s. It was common practise to leave prescription medicine in a wooden box attached to the garden wall for collection by patients! How times have changed…….. |
