RUAH is located on the northern end of Lake George where the simple pleasures are paramount. It is owned and operated by Judy and Peter Foster. Peter is a landscape architect and the spectacular gardens reflect his passion and talent. Judy is a floral designer and her touch is evident throughout the elegant home.
The stately home was built by Harry Waltrous in 1900. Mr. Waltrous was a well-known turn-of-the-century artist. (It is reputed that Stanford White was the architect). Harry was a colorful character and his most famous prank was his Lake George Monster hoax in 1904, newsworthy enoug. . .
