High on a hill in the Lakes Region of central Maine sits an architectural treasure known as the Trebor Mansion Inn. Built in 1830 and once owned by a United States Senator, the Trebor Mansion's origins are shrouded in mystery. Although it was widely held by the locals to be "haunted", and didn't even have electricity and plumbing in the main structure until 1976, the original artwork, Moses Eaton stencils and stained glass windows were preserved, and it is still crowned by it's original slate roof. Although nearly destroyed in a massive fire on 1-24-2004, today the Mansion's elegant guest room. . .
