Gorges and Waterfalls near Ithaca

Take a hike to Ithaca Falls, Cascadilla Gorge or any of the 100-plus waterfalls and gorges within 10 miles of downtown. Ithaca has many beautiful gorges and waterfalls. One of the most famous is Ithaca Falls, which is 150 feet high and 175 feet wide. These stunning falls are visible from Lake Street, a short walk from downtown or Cornell. Getting close to the water is very easy to do. There is a small park near the trail to the falls for spectators wishing to relax in the grass or sit on a bench and enjoy the scenery.
