IllinoisGalenaFarmers Guest House

Details:

The Farmer's Guest House in Galena, Illinois, was built in 1867 and operated as a bakery, store and hotel. The handsome, Italianate guest house became a favorite overnight stop for local farmers, who brought their goods to market, as well as a gathering place for Galena townsfolk. In keeping with the inns tradition of hospitality, we invite you to experience the delight, charm, romance and history of a by-gone era along with the conveniences of today.

Don and Susan Steffan, owners/innkeepers, purchased the guest house in 2012 and continue to maintain the extensive remodeling and renovation work that has been done to keep this historic treasure available to all guests, paying close attention to all the details so you may enjoy your stay and make their house your home.
