Carmel Country Club

Charlotte, North Carolina

Imagine choosing which course to play on a Saturday morning. At Carmel, members are offered two championship 18-hole courses on 384 acres of landscaped greenery, each with its own distinct personality.
The North Course, originally designed by George Cobb and redesigned by Tom Jackson, has an undulating composition that challenges a player and reveals the risk-taker in all of us. Numerous updates and improvements have been made to the North Course in the past few years with the creation of new bunkers, lengthening of holes and newly installed stone walls. The North Course was conceived to test all areas of a player's game but still allows for fun and fellowship no matter what your handicap.
The South Course is currently under a major new redesign, led by distinguished designer Rees Jones. Carmel is building a 21st Century golf course. High tech grasses are being planted to enhance play, increase durability and tolerate traffic more easily. Zoysia grass landscapes the fairways and tees while celebration Bermuda grass is woven into the roughs. New irrigation systems run throughout the course. Specific sculpting, including elevation shifts, comprises every hole. The South Course, when completed, will offer golfers a new experience every round, embodying beauty, natural surroundings and challenging play.

A day of golf at Carmel will be spectacular whether playing the North or South Course.
