Our shop, a carriage house dating back to 1786, is located in the heart of Wiscasset “the prettiest village in Maine” known for its history and numerous Art and Antiques shops. The online gallery was launched in January 2010 assembling Artwork from talented artists, as well as Antiques and objects of decorative interest collected worldwide. It provides a simple and convenient way for people to view, buy and acquire Art and Antiques, from the comfort of their home. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any item catches your eye! John and Dominique Reed, the owners, have been in the business of the restoration and decoration of vintage homes in Europe and America for the last 25 years. They have travelled extensively in the pursuit of rare and unusual objects from the valuable to the more affordable. Born in Brasil of a British father and a Brasilian mother, John is the author of ‘Elegant Simplicity: Reflections on an Alternative Way of Being'. He participates in a weekend retreat at the Kismett Inn in Bath on the issues discussed in the book. Dominique, who is French, is an artist. They divide their time between the south of France and Maine.
