 Canyon Ferry Dam & ReservoirHelena, MontanaCanyon Ferry Dam is a flood control reservoir located northeast of Helena on the Missouri River. Canyon Ferry Dam is located on the main stem of the Missouri River approximately 27 miles downstream from Townsend, Montana.
Area Activities include: tent camping, picnicking, boating, swimming, hiking, sailing, water skiing, geology, wind surfing, lake fishing, rv camping , lewis and clark and nature wildlife viewing. The Visitor Center features hands-on displays and excellent interpretive information on Canyon Ferry's watchable wildlife. There are displays of the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the construction of Canyon Ferry Dam. |
