Hosts Anne and Horst Mann have greeted visitors to Bowen Island since 1992. Many of our guests come from Vancouver, to “get away”, slow down their pace and “smell the roses”; walk the trails, see the sights and visit the beaches. One April, a number of our guests were students who just finished their exams. It was great to share their joy (and exhaustion) in having completed their exams. One snowy February weekend, a lone visitor arrived on his bicycle, his bag filled with books, seeking solitude.
