It became part of the Devonshire family's estate around 1830 when it was acquired from the Duke of Rutland. It was named the Cavendish (formerly the Peacock Inn), after extensive renovations in 1975. You will find peace within the building, with its elegant rooms and magnificent views over the Estate towards Chatsworth itself. This is a working farm which is home to a herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle as well as a flock of locally bred sheep. The farm dates back to the mid 1800's and has recently undergone extensive redevelopment, to create a luxury complex consisting of the farmhouse and four cottages. We have adopted a contemporary style whilst still retaining many original features. The kitchens are very well equiped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. All linen and towels are provided and there is an on site laundry. Each room is fitted with satellite TV.
