Mr. Cahill, an emigrant from Ireland in 1850, was a prosperous saloon keeper in the harbor area until his death in 1898. His home was then purchased by a prominent Swedish businessman, Andrew Dalin, in 1906. The property was to remain in the Dalin family until 1983, when purchased by the present owners, restored and opened as a B&B in 1986.
