In June 1909 the Ashland Tidings announced that: The Hargrove sisters are getting ready to build an eight room residence on their corner lot at Spring and First Avenue. D.L. Gleen will be the contractor. Rogue Valley architect, Frank Chamberlain Clark had drawn plans for a commercial building for the Hargrove's early in 1909 and it is probable that he was the architect of their new home.
